Dr. Woods Natural Br Soap #Review

ABCD Diaries was given products for review purposes only. We were in no other way compensated. The opinions expressed in this post are ours and ours alone.

We recently had the chance to review 2 bar soaps from Dr. Woods:

What we thought:
We were excited to try Dr. Woods soaps because they are all-natural, biodegradable, paraben and phthalate free and don't contain animal ingredients, artificial colors or lauryl/laureth sulfates.  They also aren't tested on animals.  Sounds like good stuff, right?  They definitely lived up to the hype:)

The Skin Lightening Rose Bar helps even skin discoloration and clear blemishes and it smells fantastic!  This soap smells fresh, yet calming and leave my skin glowing:)

The  100% Natural Baby Mild Castile Soap is gentle enough for children and anyone
with sensitive skin.  It is fragrance-free, so it's perfect for the most sensitive individuals.  This soap is a combination of organic essential oils, shea butter and Vitamin E, so it's really great for nourishing and smoothing your skin.

The Little Thinker Box from Kidable! #Review

ABCD Diaries was given products for review purposes only. We were in no other way compensated. The opinions expressed in this post are ours and ours alone.

We recently had the chance to review the Little Thinker Box from Kidable:

"The Little Thinker Box is a monthly subscription service for children preparing to enter Pre-K or Kindergarten. Each month the child is sent a themed-based activity box that focuses on reading, writing, math, science, and other skills; using fun games, crafts, and experiments. Each month’s theme is a surprise!"

Our theme was "Rainbows"
This box was bursting with rainbow-themed activities!

There were art projects, a counting game, letter and number recognition cards and worksheets.  Nearly everything you need is included in the box...crayons, glue, etc.  They only thing we needed to add were scissors and imagination!

There were also classifying and sorting activities and a lacing game...great for encouraging hand-eye coordination.  The box also included a small bag of "just for fun" treats like a pencil, rainbow crayon and spikey ball.

There was also a board game and a parent page which explains how to use each activity.  Everything is packaged separately which makes it easy to keep it all organized.  Seriously, so many super awesome activities!  They were all fun things that little ones would be excited about doing:)

The Little Thinker Box makes it easy to make learning fun and engaging and covers a wide variety of important skills.  This is a subscription box service and would make a fantastic gift for the "little thinker" in your life:)

Doug's Nuts: Crazy Good Nuts! #Review

ABCD Diaries was given products for review purposes only. We were in no other way compensated. The opinions expressed in this post are ours and ours alone.

We recently had the chance to review Doug's Nuts:

What we thought:
Doug's Nuts come in two flavors:  Original and Coconut Beach Crunch.  Both were fantastic!  The Original blend is full of almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds and pecans which are glazed with a tasty sweet mixture and just enough sea salt to be amazingly yummy!  Really, where else can you find such a delectable mixture of nuts?!  These aren't just bits of nuts either, but mostly whole nuts!   The Coconut Beach Crunch was my personal favorite with beer-glazed salty almonds, toasted coconut chips and dark chocolate.  So good!  Perfect for on-the-go or at-home sacking and in flavors everyone will love, Doug's Nuts gets an A+! from ABCD Diaries!

"Fresh lemon juice and lemon zest make this lemon meringue pie filling tart and lovely. And when it's poured into a waiting crust, topped with billows of meringue, and baked, it's downright dreamy."
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water
2 lemons, juiced and zested
2 tablespoons butter
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
4 egg whites
6 tablespoons white sugar
DIRECTIONS:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.To Make Lemon Filling: In a medium saucepan, whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in water, lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Stir in butter. Place egg yolks in a small bowl and gradually whisk in 1/2 cup of hot sugar mixture. Whisk egg yolk mixture back into remaining sugar mixture. Bring to a boil and continue to cook while stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat. Pour filling into baked pastry shell.
3.To Make Meringue: In a large glass or metal bowl, whip egg whites until foamy. Add sugar gradually, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Spread meringue over pie, sealing the edges at the crust.
4.Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until meringue is golden brown

Welcome Spring With #FebrezeSpring Scents #Review

ABCD Diaries was given products for review purposes only. We were in no other way compensated. The opinions expressed in this post are ours and ours alone.

We recently had the chance to review a selection of spring scents from Febreze:

Ahhh, smell that?  Spring is in the air!!  We are fortunate enough to live on the Texas coast, which means #1, Spring comes early and #2, we have a constant breeze right off the water which allows us to keep our windows open for most of the year!  There's nothing I love more in Spring than airing out the house after winter...opening up the windows and allowing the cool breeze to refresh our rooms feels and smells amazing!  Febreze perfectly captures many of my favorite spring scents and allows me to enhance Spring's natural deodorizer with just a hint of floral or rain scent from the Febreze plug in or other Febreze air freshener.
These room deodorizers are the perfect way to freshen things up this Spring!
